Here's your quick guide to Nicotine Strength vs "Nic Salt" formulation;
What is Nicotine strength?
In New Zealand the law requires all nicotine vaping products to express nicotine content (strength) by volume as mg/mL. For example, 28.5mg/mL Nicotine Strength means there is 28.5mg of nicotine in every 1mL of eLiquid.
What is "Nic Salt strength"?
You may see some brands that have "Nic Salt Strength" on their packaging. This is misleading as it does not indicate the actual Nicotine strength. They are using the combined Nicotine + Salt ingredient formulation and calling it "Nic Salt Strength". The Salt Ingredient (e.g Benzoic Acid) does not increase the nicotine strength.
We have put in brackets on our product Nicotine strengths the Nic Salt formulation. See example here;
What is Nicotine salt?
The Salt ingredient (e.g Lactic Acid, Benzoic Acid) is added to nicotine vaping products to allow higher concentrations of nicotine to be vaped without a nasty throat hit. It provides a smoother vaping experience.
